«Rojales is all we need»: The story of Mr and Mrs Johnson

In 2018, Katherine Johnson and Anthony Johnson decided to pack their bags and count on our team to start a second life in Rojales, Spain. Located in the region of Vega Baja del Segura, on the banks of the Segura River, it is the second Spanish municipality with the highest percentage of foreigners, who make up 71.75% of the registered population. “We saw photos of this paradise and it was love at first sight,” says Katherine.

You won’t find the peace and quiet that Rojales offers in many places in Spain. In this village you will find a pleasant and traditional environment, where you can live with different cultures and nationalities. “I have noticed in the 4 years that we have been living in Rojales that the locals are very polite and help you with everything”, says Anthony.

Also, they, being retired, are looking for a place where they can retire and rest. “The beach, the climate, everything. Rojales is everything we were looking for“, says Mrs Johson happily.

Its proximity to amenities such as the airport and train stations make it a central place to live. “It is very well connected, every weekend we want to visit new places in the area. There is so much to do,” says Mr Johnson.

«We would definitely choose Ciudad Quesada again»: meet Mr. and Mrs. Miller

After the pandemic, our next protagonists did not hesitate to contact us to settle in Costa Blanca, Spain. They are Emily Moore and Joshua Miller. A retired couple who decided a year and a half ago to move from Florida. “Although we were very comfortable in our area, we thought it was time to come to Spain and enjoy ourselves after many years of working”, says Joshua.

Ciudad Quesada was the place where they decided to start this new stage of their lives. The location is great, next to La Marquesa golf course and with the beaches of Guardamar del Segura only a ten minute drive away.

Located on a pleasant south-facing hillside in the province of Alicante, Ciudad Quesada offers a great and exciting quality of life in the sun. One of the things that has really contributed to Quesada’s international recognition is its prestigious golf course, “Club de Golf Quesada”.

“Joshua played golf in Florida. We saw that Ciudad Quesada offered to continue enjoying this sport and we did not hesitate to choose our destination. We would definitely choose Ciudad Quesada again,” says Mrs Miller.

Ciudad Quesada also has a cultural centre that hosts a variety of performances, workshops and exhibitions. Elche-Alicante airport, one of the busiest airports in the country with a long list of destinations, is also located nearby.
